Welcome to my site! I'm a Research Fellow in philosophy at the University of Oxford's Global Priorities Institute and a Junior Research Fellow at Wolfson College. Before either role, I did my PhD at the Australian National University and, at various times, held visiting fellowships at Princeton and Oxford. I also recently joined the team at the Australasian Journal of Philosophy as an Associate Editor.
My academic work falls primarily within normative ethics and decision theory, although I have side interests in various areas of applied ethics, philosophy of physics, and philosophy of time. My PhD dissertation investigated the difficulties of moral decision-making when infinite value is at stake.
Aside from philosophy, I enjoy getting lost in the wilderness, making puns, and trying to make the world a better place.
This is what my face looks like.
